The Role
You will be responsible for overseeing the performance of multiple civil projects, supporting the preparation of detailed cost estimates, evaluating project requirements, and contributing to the efficient, high-quality delivery of projects. This role requires strong technical expertise, keen attention to detail, and effective collaboration skills in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Collaborate with senior estimator and team of Quantity Surveyors
- Ability to implement strategies to improve process
- Manage surveying costs.
- Manage project budgets, cost forecasts, and cash flow.
- Prepare and assess variations, progress claims, and final accounts.
- Oversee subcontractor procurement and contract administration
- Good communication skills - Will be dealing with engineers, clients and the rest of the QS/Estimating team
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or similar
- Proven experience in WA civil construction (earthworks, roads, services)
- Understanding of Australian Standard and other standard form contracts.
- Experience working with:12D - AutoCAD - CAD 3d - Can Com
- Skilled in reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and plans
- Strong knowledge of local subcontractor and supplier markets
