Regulatory Affairs Manager
An established organisation operating within the renewable energy and infrastructure sector is seeking a Regulatory Affairs Manager to support the delivery and growth of a portfolio of energy projects.
This position sits at the intersection of policy, regulation, stakeholder engagement, and project delivery. The successful candidate will provide strategic analysis of regulatory and policy developments, helping internal teams navigate evolving market frameworks and identify opportunities and risks that may impact project outcomes.
Working closely with development, commercial, technical, and leadership teams, you will contribute to regulatory strategy, stakeholder engagement initiatives, and policy advocacy activities that support the successful progression of major infrastructure projects.
Regulatory Affairs Manager
- Monitor and assess political, legislative, regulatory, and market developments relevant to the energy and infrastructure sectors.
- Provide clear analysis and strategic recommendations to support business and project objectives.
- Conduct risk assessments and scenario planning relating to regulatory and policy changes.
- Identify emerging opportunities and challenges that may affect project delivery and commercial outcomes.
- Support engagement with government agencies, regulators, industry bodies, and other key stakeholders.
- Assist in developing and implementing stakeholder engagement and advocacy strategies.
- Represent the business in industry forums, consultations, and stakeholder meetings where required.
- Prepare consultation submissions, briefing papers, policy responses, and position papers.
- Conduct research and analysis to support evidence-based policy recommendations.
- Contribute to advocacy initiatives aimed at improving regulatory frameworks and supporting sector growth.
- Work closely with project development, commercial, communications, and technical teams.
- Prepare executive briefings, reports, and stakeholder updates.
- Support the alignment of regulatory, commercial, and project objectives across the business.
- Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on regulatory and policy matters impacting project activities.
