Key Responsibilities
- Lead the organisation's reporting and analytics capability, ensuring reliable, scalable, and business-focused reporting solutions.
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade dashboards, reports, and visualisations using Power BI.
- Develop and optimise datasets, semantic models, and reporting architectures using SQL and modern data platform technologies.
- Leverage Microsoft Fabric to support data integration, transformation, governance, analytics, and reporting initiatives.
- Lead the automation of reporting processes to reduce manual effort, improve accuracy, and increase reporting timeliness.
- Design and implement automated data pipelines, report refresh schedules, alerting mechanisms, and report distribution processes.
- Identify opportunities to streamline reporting workflows and eliminate manual reporting activities across the organisation.
- Partner with senior executives and business leaders to understand strategic objectives, reporting requirements, and opportunities for improvement.
- Translate complex business requirements into technical reporting and analytics solutions.
- Extensive experience in a Reporting Lead, BI Lead, Analytics Lead, or similar senior reporting role.
- Advanced expertise in Power BI, including:
- Data modelling
- DAX
- Power Query
- Dashboard and report development
- Performance optimisation
- Strong hands-on experience with SQL for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
- Proven experience working with and implementing solutions within Microsoft Fabric environments.
- Demonstrated experience delivering report automation and enterprise reporting solutions.
- Strong understanding of automated reporting processes, data orchestration, scheduling, and workflow optimisation.
- Experience automating data ingestion, transformation, reporting, and dashboard refresh processes.
- Exceptional senior stakeholder management skills, including the ability to engage, influence, and challenge executive stakeholders.
- Proven ability to gather requirements, define reporting strategies, and translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Experience with Azure Data Platform technologies.
- Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and reporting frameworks.
- Experience leading reporting, analytics, or business intelligence teams.
- Relevant Microsoft certifications in Power BI, Fabric, Data Analytics, or Azure.
- Experience supporting self-service reporting and analytics initiatives.
- A trusted advisor to senior leadership on reporting, analytics, and data strategy.
- Delivery of accurate, timely, and impactful business insights.
- Significant reduction in manual reporting through automation and process improvement.
