Return to Work A04-A06 Advisor

Public Sector People  are working with a government organisation within Brisbane who are seeking an Injury Management Officer on a unique 6-week contract + extension.
  
Applications from a variety of experience and levels are encouraged, how ever experience in the public sector is mandatory.

This opportunity allows you to join in a dynamic and supportive Health, Safety & Rehabilitation team, working on proactive injury management and return-to-work strategies.
   
The Role:

• AO4-AO6 Rehabilitation/Return to Work Advisor
• ASAP start + WFH available (up to 2 days)
• Initial 6 week contract (potential extension)
• State government department 

• What is essential to the success of this role is familiarity with Workcover legislation and return to work practices in a government context.
• Systems that would be beneficial for the candidate to know are: Riskman, Solv, Service Now, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlookand Outlook.
• Training and/or relevant experience as a Rehabilitation and Return to Work Coordinator

• Acting as the point of contact for the injured worker and support them throughout their recovery.
• Assisting injured workers to remain at or return to work while they recover from a work-related injury.
• Planning the worker's return to work if they require time away from work to recover and make decisions to progress their return.
• Consulting with the injured worker, their treating health practitioner, occupational rehabilitation provider, WorkSafe Agent or worker's representative if they have one.
• Taking steps to prevent a recurrence or aggravation of the injury.
• Acting as a point of contact for a WorkSafe return to work inspector.
• Helping to resolve any issues or disputes related to return to work.
