Public Sector People  are working with  Logan City Council  who are seeking an experienced  Risk & Compliance officer  on a temp contract (+extension) for their Fleet Assessments Services team.

The  Risk & Compliance Officer  is responsible providing technical support to Workshop staff aiding in fault diagnoses of equipment, investigate problems in the field and recommend corrective action where appropriate by raising defect reports.

This role would be well suited to a qualified tradesperson in the field of motor mechanics, heavy diesel equipment. Proven experience in the mechanical field on a wide variety of plant items and the operation of a plant workshop.

  • ASAP START | Logan City council
  • Pay rate of $42.96 per hour + super
  • Logan Area | On-site parking
  • Initial contract until 26th June 2026 + extension.
What you will be doing:
  • Provide technical support to Workshop staff aiding in fault diagnoses of equipment, investigate problems in the field and recommend corrective action where appropriate by raising defect reports
  • Undertake detailed risk assessment of new Plant Fleet and Equipment. Provide technical support and software training to stakeholders
  • Participate in the quality assurance of Workshop activities through audits, testing and inspection functions.
  • Provide contract administration and contract management in analysing, addressing and resolving unsatisfactory supplier performance and contractual disputes for Plant Fleet Services.
 
About you:
  • Highly developed communication skills including the ability to develop and maintain effective relationships.
  • A qualified tradesperson in the field of motor mechanics, heavy diesel equipment is highly regarded
  • Proven significant experience in the mechanical field on a wide variety of plant items and the operation of a plant workshop.
  • Proven ability to conduct inspections and investigations on a community level, and produce effective outcomes within the parameters of relevant Legislation and Council policies.
  • Available to start as soon as possible
