The Role
- Provide site-based safety leadership and support on a circa $130 million education project
- Partner closely with project teams, subcontractors, and senior management to drive positive safety outcomes
- Conduct site inspections, audits, incident investigations, and risk assessments
- Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks, and ongoing safety training
- Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, project requirements, and company procedures
- Support the implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of site safety systems and initiatives
- Previous experience as a Safety Advisor within the construction industry
- Strong capability reviewing Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) and Safe Systems of Work
- Experience working on commercial, education, health, industrial, or other large-scale construction projects
- Sound understanding of WHS legislation, contractor management, and risk management processes
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence positive safety behaviours
- Excellent organisational, administrative, and time management abilities
- Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work effectively within a collaborative project environment
