Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of day-to-day HSE across a mid-rise residential construction project.
- Partner closely with the Project Manager, supervisors, subcontractors and workforce to drive positive safety outcomes.
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits, observations and risk assessments.
- Review and monitor SWMS, permits and high-risk construction activities.
- Lead incident investigations and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks and ongoing safety communication.
- Support the implementation and continuous improvement of HSE systems and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, company standards and project requirements
- 3–5 years’ experience in a Safety/HSE role within the Australian construction industry.
- Previous commercial construction experience is needed.
- Residential, mid-rise or high-rise experience will be advantageous.
- Strong understanding of WHS legislation, risk management and contractor engagement.
- Confident communicating with site teams, subcontractors and senior management.
- Practical, proactive and solutions-focused approach to safety.
- Comfortable working autonomously and taking ownership of the HSE function on site.
- Relevant WHS qualifications.
- Up to $200,000 package, dependent on experience.
