We are seeking an experienced Safety Manager to take ownership of a major Gold Coast project comprising a mix of luxury townhouses and apartment buildings.
This is a site-based role where you will be the dedicated safety lead, working closely with the project leadership team to drive safety performance from construction through to completion.
The Role
- Lead all site-based health, safety, and environmental activities across the project.
- Partner with project teams, subcontractors, consultants, and senior management to drive a proactive safety culture.
- Conduct site inspections, audits, investigations, and risk assessments.
- Review and monitor SWMS, permits, and safe systems of work.
- Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks, and ongoing workforce engagement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, company standards, and principal contractor obligations.
- Drive contractor accountability and contribute to the successful delivery of the project.
- Previous experience as a Safety Manager, Senior Safety Advisor, or equivalent leadership position within construction.
- Strong experience across residential, commercial, or mixed-use construction projects.
- Demonstrated capability reviewing SWMS and implementing effective safe systems of work.
- Sound knowledge of WHS legislation, contractor management, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work autonomously while building strong relationships across site teams.
- Salary package of up to $200k, dependent on experience.
