This building company has established their brand across the Sydney Metro for over three decades. They are building an even split of project homes and knock-down-rebuild / custom homes.
The role will work within the estimating team of a couple other Estimators, in a senior-level capacity. The successful candidate will be hands-on (mainly production) estimating on all project and custom homes.
As the Estimator, you will be responsible for:
- Prepare accurate sales estimates, tenders, and pricing for new home builds.
- Cost variations, upgrades, and client selections across standard designs.
- Liaise with sales consultants, drafting, and construction to ensure buildability and compliance.
- Maintain and update pricing databases, supplier rates, and inclusions lists.
- Interpret plans, site reports, and council/developer guidelines to inform estimates.
- BOQs
- Develop and maintain unit pricing databases
- System set up for future works and set up processes
- ETS management
- Solving elevated issues and collaborating with the Estimating Manager and Director
- Tertiary qualifications in construction or a trade background
- Experience pricing and delivering custom homes
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience negotiating rates
- Good understanding of margins
- Ability to work Monday to Friday in an office and committing to a full-time role.
