They’re looking for an experienced and strategic Senior Business Development Manager to drive growth of their mixed-use property development sector within Australia.
As a seasoned business development professional, you will be responsible for advancing opportunities within their mixed-use, commercial, and residential portfolio. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with deep knowledge of the commercial property sector and strong relationships with Tier 1 and Tier 2 developers in Australia.
This will work closely with the Head of Clients and Future Business, Principals, and the BD team to identify new opportunities, nurture client relationships, and position the client as a leader in the mixed-use property development sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cultivate and strengthen relationships with property developers and industry partners
- Lead strategic initiatives and pursuits, leveraging your market expertise to secure projects.
- Conduct market research to identify business opportunities, trends, and competitive insights, helping inform a strategic pipeline.
- Develop and present effective bid strategies in collaboration with design teams, ensuring the client's success.
- Provide guidance to teams on best practices for work-winning, including bid development and engagement strategies.
- Ensure client leadership is well-represented at key industry events, staying ahead of market shifts and identifying new opportunities.
- Support business planning and pipeline management to align with firm objectives and growth ambitions.
- Deliver regular performance reports on business development activities and outcomes.
Skills and Experience:
- Proven success in business development within the architectural, property, or construction sectors.
- Demonstrated ability to secure high-value projects and cultivate long-term client relationships.
- Strong knowledge of commercial office, hotel, residential, and mixed-use developments.
- Established relationships with Tier 1 & Tier 2 developers and strategic partners in the Australian market.
- Active networker with key industry groups, such as the Property Council of Australia.
- Expertise in client engagement, negotiation, and strategic business growth.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Suite, and CRM systems (Salesforce preferred).
- Strong budget management and commercial insight.
