Senior Contract Administrator
I am working with a very well-established QLD construction business who are looking to bring an experienced Senior Contracts Administrator into their Brisbane team.
With a strong reputation across the commercial construction industry, this privately owned builder specialises in delivering quality projects across commercial construction, education, healthcare, industrial and hospitality sectors.
They have built their business around strong client relationships, quality workmanship and a hands-on approach to project delivery, with a consistent pipeline of work across South East Queensland.
This is an opportunity for an experienced Senior CA to join a growing team and take ownership of the commercial and contractual aspects of projects from procurement through to final accounts.
Working closely with the Senior Leadership and site teams, you will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered commercially, efficiently and in line with contractual requirements.
The Role:
- Manage the full commercial and contractual administration of construction projects from procurement through to completion.
- Prepare, review and negotiate head contracts, subcontract agreements and scopes of work.
- Manage variations, progress claims, extensions of time and subcontractor payments.
- Monitor project costs, budgets, cash flow and overall commercial performance.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and consultants.
- Work closely with Project Managers and site teams to identify and manage commercial risks.
- Oversee procurement processes and ensure contractual obligations are being met.
- Manage final accounts and project close-out documentation.
- Proven experience as a Contracts Administrator or Senior Contracts Administrator within a commercial construction environment.
- A strong understanding of construction contracts, procurement and subcontractor management.
- Experience managing projects across commercial, industrial, education, healthcare or high-rise residential sectors.
- Confident managing variations, claims, cost reporting and contractual negotiations.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work closely with site and project teams.
- A proactive, commercially minded individual who can take ownership and work autonomously.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or a similar discipline will be highly regarded.
