This well-respected national builder with a diverse project range that includes, offices, government, health and education facilities across both new build and fitouts are looking to add a Senior Estimator to join an experienced team.
The role will involve:
- Projecting and controlling construction costs
- Producing accurate documentation including: cost documentation and cost estimations of final accounts and variations
- Prepare specifications, proposals and contract documentation
- Liaising with suppliers, tradespeople, contractors and supervisors
- Checking contract plans and specifications for accuracy prior to release for construction
- Maintaining quality service by following organization standards
- Some previous experience in an Estimating role
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Have an excellent understanding of the full construction life-cycle
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft Offices programs of Outlook, Excel, and Word and Prime (ideal but not necessary)
- Be open to guidance and direction from senior staff members
- Hold relevant qualifications, or have a strong trade background
- A thorough understanding and knowledge of the residential construction market and building industry standards and processes
- Solid communication skills with excellent attention to detail
