They are now looking for an experienced Senior Estimator to join their team, working across Class 1 residential projects including townhouses, terraces and duplexes.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone confident in tendering, cost planning and subcontractor pricing, with the opportunity to work closely alongside construction, development and design teams across a strong portfolio of upcoming projects.
The Role
- Preparing tender estimates and cost plans for residential developments
- Completing detailed quantity take-offs from architectural and construction documentation
- Reviewing drawings and specifications to identify scope gaps, risks and cost-saving opportunities
- Issuing tender packages and managing subcontractor pricing submissions
- Reviewing and comparing trade quotes, inclusions and exclusions
- Preparing tender submissions, budgets and pricing reports
- Assisting with value engineering and procurement strategies
- Liaising with internal teams across construction, development and design
- Supporting project handovers following successful tenders
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in estimating or cost planning within residential construction
- Experience pricing townhouse, duplex, terrace or low-rise residential projects
- Strong understanding of residential construction methods, sequencing and trade scopes
- Ability to interpret architectural and construction drawings confidently
- Experience completing detailed quantity take-offs and trade-based estimates
- Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proficiency across Excel and estimating software
- Experience working for a residential builder or developer-builder
- Databuild and/or PlanSwift experience
- Qualifications in Construction Management, Building or Quantity Surveying
- Existing subcontractor relationships within the NSW residential market
