Public Sector People are partnering with a local government organisation to recruit for highly skilled Senior Flood Modelling Specialist.
Contract:
8 months
Competitive hourly rate:$75 - $90 + Super depending on experience
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical advice on hydrologic and hydraulic modelling to support projects, flood studies, flood risk management plans and development assessments.
- Prepare high quality maps, figures and technical documentation for internal and external stakeholders
- Provide specialist advice on flood modelling inputs, methodologies and results interpretation
Essential:
- Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or related discipline
- Strong understanding of Australian Rainfall & Runoff (APR2019) and NSW Flood Risk Management Manual
- Demonstrated ability to review, interpret and communicate complex technical results
- Proven experience in preparing and reviewing flood studies and flood risk management plans
