We're looking for a Senior HSE Advisor to join the safety team of a national contractor. Initially you will be working FIFO on a major civil project in the Northern Territory, before returning to Adelaide in November to work on a $250m commercial project in Adelaide's north.

Role Overview:
After winning a new and exciting contract our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Senior HSE Advisor to join the team. The successful candidate will support the development and implementation of HSE policies and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel involved in these critical activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and monitoring of HSE policies.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
  • Monitor and enforce adherence to safety protocols during blasting and painting operations.
  • Provide guidance and support to staff on HSE matters, including conducting safety briefings and training sessions.
  • Investigate and report on incidents, accidents, and near misses, recommending corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant HSE regulations and best practices.
  • Collaborate with project managers and teams to integrate HSE considerations into project planning and execution.
  • Assist in the preparation of HSE reports and documentation for stakeholders.
Qualifications:
  • Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in a similar HSE role
  • Experience in commercial & civil construction essential
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and standards.
  • Strong understanding of HSE legislation, risk assessment, and accident investigation techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment and manage multiple priorities.
