What your day looks like:
- Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for HVAC systems in construction projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
- Develop competitive bid proposals, ensuring compliance with project specifications, timelines, and budgetary requirements.
- Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and other documents to determine project scope and requirements.
- Obtain quotes from suppliers and subcontractors, negotiating pricing to ensure cost-effectiveness while maintaining quality standards.
- Identify potential project risks and incorporate contingencies into estimates to account for variables or unforeseen challenges.
- 8+ years HVAC construction estimating experience, Ideally in the Tier 1 or high end Tier 2 space.
- Experience tendering for HVAC construction projects up to $20m
- HVAC trade or mechanical engineering background
- Strong network in with Tier 2-1 builders and HVAC suppliers
- A detail-oriented HVAC Estimator with the expertise to deliver accurate, thorough estimates independently
- Competitive salary based on skills and experience. Up to $170k plus super & car allowance
