The Role
We are seeking an experienced & dedicated Senior HVAC Estimator to join the VIC Projects team to assist with completing project estimation works as required and preparation of various quotations and submission of offers for installation projects throughout the company’s VIC branch operations.
 
The successful candidate will be involved, when needed, in the delivery of mechanical services projects to satisfy company & client requirements within agreed timeframes and budgetary constraints.
 
Key Responsibilities
The key responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
• Liaise with Estimators, Project Manager's & National Projects team in all aspects, including handover & completing projects
• Provide technical advice to clients and team members on Air Conditioning plant and control systems
• Ensure correct documentation, installation maintenance manuals and all certificates of compliance are provided at project completion
• Apply & support OH&S initiatives and policies
• Apply & support Quality initiatives and policies
 
Key Competencies
The successful candidate will ideally possess the following attributes:
• Strong understanding and experience in estimating retro fit HVAC upgrades and fit out – Minimum 5 years relevant industry experience
• Ideally worked on large complex projects in the value of $750,000-$2,000,000+
• Relevant trade qualification, e.g.: Mechanical Engineering
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and mechanical drawings
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Word processing and spreadsheet applications
• Basic / Intermediate Understanding of Business Finance
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
• Strong leadership skills, with developed interpersonal skills
• Intermediate Computer skills in Microsoft Excel and office-based databases
