We’re working with a leading national design practice that delivers impactful projects across the public, commercial and private sectors. Their Melbourne interiors team is growing and looking to appoint an experienced Senior or Senior Associate Interior Designer to lead projects, mentor a team, and play a key role in client relationships.

This is a leadership opportunity for a strategic, design-driven interior designer who enjoys shaping the built environment with a focus on people, place and performance.

  • Education: Primary, secondary and tertiary learning environments designed for the future of pedagogy
  • Health & Aged Care: Contemporary clinical and wellness spaces focused on user experience and wellbeing
  • Commercial & Workplace: High-performance work environments for government, corporate, and private clients
  • Civic & Community: Libraries, community hubs and cultural institutions that enrich public life
  • Defence & Justice: Secure environments with a strong focus on functionality and safety
  • Retail & Hospitality: Branded spaces with a sharp design sensibility and user engagement at the core
You’ll be exposed to projects that are purposeful, award-winning, and grounded in deep research and consultation. There is a strong focus on sustainability, inclusion, and First Nations engagement.

About You You’re an experienced Interior Designer who brings both creativity and leadership to the table. You know how to run projects from early briefing through to delivery and have a track record of building client trust.
You have:
  • 8–15+ years of experience in interior design or architecture
  • A strong portfolio across public, civic, health, education, or workplace sectors
  • A confident, client-facing approach with excellent communication skills
  • The ability to manage teams and mentor junior designers
  • A passion for meaningful design outcomes and a collaborative mindset
  • Proficiency in Revit (essential), with strong documentation and delivery experience
  • Tertiary qualifications in Interior Design or Interior Architecture
