Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, you will join a supportive finance team and play a key role in maintaining efficient payroll operations while supporting future business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-end payroll processing for approximately 100 weekly-paid construction employees and 600 fortnightly salaried employees
- Manage payroll-related queries from employees and internal stakeholders
- Process superannuation, allowances, leave entitlements, terminations, and payroll adjustments
- Ensure payroll accuracy and compliance across all pay cycles
- Maintain payroll records and reporting requirements
- Assist with payroll forecasting and workforce growth planning
- Work collaboratively with finance and HR teams to ensure smooth payroll operations
- Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes and efficiencies
- Proven experience managing end-to-end payroll across both weekly and fortnightly payroll cycles
- Previous experience within the construction industry
- Strong understanding of Modern Awards, site-based employment conditions, and payroll compliance requirements
- Sound knowledge of superannuation, leave legislation, and payroll-related obligations
- Highly organised with excellent time management skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet strict payroll deadlines
- Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
