  • Identifying engagement risks and opportunities in collaboration with technical project teams
  • Providing strategic advice to internal stakeholders, including project managers and leadership
  • Managing multiple engagement programs simultaneously, ensuring delivery within agreed timeframes and scope
  • Preparing and delivering communication materials including notifications, fact sheets, web content, FAQs and presentations
  • Representing projects in meetings with residents, businesses, councillors, contractors and other stakeholders
  • Responding to community enquiries and complaints related to project activities
  • Maintaining accurate records of stakeholder interactions, engagement activities and correspondence
  • Supporting continuous improvement of engagement processes, tools and systems
About you:
  • Demonstrated experience delivering community engagement and communication programs, ideally within infrastructure or capital works environments
  • Strong ability to develop and execute engagement strategies across project lifecycles
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate technical information for diverse audiences
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities and work across multiple projects
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with experience engaging with community groups and external partners
  • Experience responding to enquiries, issues and complaints in a professional and timely manner
  • Ability to work autonomously while contributing to a broader project team
  • Tertiary qualifications in communications, marketing or a related discipline (desirable)
  • Experience in infrastructure, transport or construction environments highly regarded
  • IAP2 or similar engagement certification is advantageous
Benefits:
    • Competitive hourly rate (negotiable based on experience)
    • Initial 3-month temporary contract with potential for extension
    • Part-time arrangement (4 days per week) with potential for additional hours
    • Opportunity to work across complex infrastructure projects
    • Collaborative and supportive team environment

If you’re an experienced engagement professional looking to play a key role in infrastructure project delivery, we’d love to hear from you.
