The Role
Reporting to the Project Manager, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of major construction projects from commencement through to completion. You will be responsible for coordinating project activities, managing subcontractors, driving programme outcomes, and ensuring quality, safety, and commercial objectives are achieved.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage project delivery activities across all stages of construction.
- Develop and monitor project programmes, procurement schedules, and construction methodologies.
- Manage subcontractor performance, progress, and compliance.
- Drive quality assurance processes and ensure works are delivered to specification.
- Assist with cost control, forecasting, contract administration, and variation management.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and key project stakeholders.
- Mentor and support Project Engineers and Site Engineers within the project team.
- Ensure compliance with all WHS, environmental, and legislative requirements.
- Degree qualified in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience as a Project Engineer or Senior Project Engineer within commercial construction.
- Demonstrated experience delivering projects valued at $30M+.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, programming, procurement, and contract administration.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a high-performing project team.
- Previous experience working for a Tier 1, Tier 2, or reputable commercial contractor will be highly regarded.
