Roster: 5:2 (FIFO OR DIDO, home every weekend)
Salary:$170-190k + super + bonus (housing provided by client)
Opportunity for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor with strong cost management and commercial controls capability to work on a large-scale energy project.
This role will focus on cost forecasting, contract administration, variations management and commercial reporting, working closely with project leadership, contractors and project controls teams to maintain strong financial oversight and protect commercial outcomes.
This position suits Senior Quantity Surveyors that have worked on major infrastructure and/or EPC style projects, that are keen to transition in to renewable energy lead projects.
Key Responsibilities of the Senior Quantity Surveyor
- Manage project cost control, forecasting, cash flow and anticipated final account.
- Maintain a continuous cost-to-complete forecast and monitor overall commercial performance.
- Assess and manage contractor claims, variations and progress payments.
- Agree Bill of Quantities rates and final accounts in line with contractual obligations.
- Administer contracts including time bars, notices and commercial correspondence.
- Review contractor progress claims and maintain accurate commercial records.
- Prepare weekly and monthly commercial reports and forecasts.
- Provide analysis and advice on cost, risk and commercial performance
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering or similar.
- 7+ years’ experience in Quantity Surveying / Commercial roles on major infrastructure or civil projects.
- Strong experience in cost management, forecasting, contract administration and variations management.
- Experience managing progress claims, contractor negotiations and final accounts.
- Strong analytical, reporting and stakeholder engagement skills.
