We are looking for a driven Senior Recruitment Consultant to join our high-performing Government team and develop a career as a trusted retained search and selection specialist.
This role is about more than filling vacancies. You will get in front of clients, understand their challenges, demonstrate why they should work with PSP and then deliver a structured, high-quality recruitment process from briefing through to appointment.
You will be expected to win your own work and take full ownership of its delivery, supported by an established Public Sector brand, an extensive client base and an experienced team with a strong record of success.
Who This Opportunity Will Suit
You may already be working in retained search and selection, or you may be a high-performing contingent recruiter who is ready for a different way of working.
We have seen excellent contingent recruiters become highly successful search and selection consultants because they are commercially driven, comfortable creating opportunities and able to operate with urgency. What changes is the opportunity to work more strategically: developing trusted client relationships, properly understanding each assignment and delivering a considered process rather than relying on volume-based CV activity.
This role will suit someone who:
- Has a proven ability to develop business and win recruitment assignments
- Enjoys being out in the market, meeting clients and building genuine relationships
- Can confidently explain and present the value of a structured search and selection process
- Takes ownership of an assignment from the initial client conversation through to appointment
- Brings drive, urgency and consistent follow-through
- Is committed to process, quality and excellence
- Communicates credibly with senior and executive stakeholders
- Enjoys working within a structured, accountable and high-performing team
- Wants to become a recognised recruitment expert within the Government market
