Contract: 6 months with view to extend
Salary: Up to $120 p/h + super depending on experience
Responsibilities:
- Contribute to a diverse range of strategic planning projects and initiatives, including the design, development, implementation and review of Council’s planning policies, land use strategies, planning instruments, and planning agreements.
- Assist in the preparation, assessment and negotiation of Planning Agreements with applicants on behalf of Council, working to achieve positive outcomes that deliver value and long-term benefits for Council and the community.
- Contribute to a range of planning and urban design projects and initiatives, including the preparation and review of Development Control Plans (DCPs).
- Minimum 5 years experience in a Strategic Planning position within local government.
- Understanding of planning processes, particularly in relation to planning proposals and the plan making process, Local Environmental Plans and Development Control Plans.
- Demonstrated experience working on planning projects and tasks and implementing projects on time and to budget.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Urban/Town Planning.
