Overview :
- Role title: Training Officer / Senior Training Officer
- Pay:$55-$70 per hour + super
- Location: Beaudesert, South Brisbane
- Start date: ASAP
- Contract length: 6 months contract (initial term with potential extension)
- Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
About the role:
The Training Officer sits within the People and Performance / Human Resources team, reporting to the Coordinator Human Resources, and working closely with Business Improvement.
The role is focused on strengthening learning and development systems, data integrity, compliance, and reporting, ensuring Council has consistent and sustainable training administration practices.
What you will be doing:
- Developing and improving Learning & Development systems, workflows, templates, process maps, procedures, and user guides
- Supporting compliance, audit readiness, and reporting across training and competency frameworks
- Working closely with HR and Business Improvement teams to embed consistent L&D practices
- Developing dashboards, reporting tools, and workforce compliance reporting capability
- Available ASAP
- 3–7 years’ experience in Learning & Development, HR, training coordination, or workforce capability roles
- Experience using TEC ONE (essential) for training records, LMS administration, or workforce compliance tracking
- Government or local government experience preferred, but not mandatory (experience in structured, compliance-driven environments also suitable)
- Strong ability to work with training data, systems, and reporting, including data cleansing, accuracy, and maintenance of training records
