About the Role
Public Sector People are seeking a motivated and experienced Transport Planner
to join a local government client for a 6-month contract. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the planning, coordination, and delivery of sustainable transport initiatives.
You will work collaboratively with internal stakeholders, state agencies, and the community to improve transport accessibility, efficiency, and safety within the local government area.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review transport and traffic studies, strategies, and reports.
- Assess development applications from a transport and traffic perspective.
- Support the development of integrated transport and active travel plans.
- Analyse transport data and prepare recommendations to inform policy and infrastructure planning.
- Provide expert advice to council teams, elected representatives, and the community.
- Liaise with NSW Transport and other relevant agencies on regional transport initiatives.
About You
- Degree qualifications in Transport Planning, Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in transport and traffic planning within local government or consultancy.
