As part of its Business Transformation agenda, Yarra is seeking an experienced leader to step into the role of Service Planning and Review Lead, a high-impact opportunity to drive service excellence across the organisation.

The Role
Reporting to the Manager, Business Transformation, this role leads a dedicated team responsible for shaping how Yarra plans, delivers, and reviews its services. It plays a central role in aligning service delivery with Council priorities, community needs and financial sustainability goals, while supporting strategic decision-making at Executive and Council level.

This position requires a strong understanding of service review and planning methodologies, change management, and business transformation. You’ll lead the delivery of Council’s Service Review Program, support annual Service Planning activity, and engage senior stakeholders to champion innovation and continuous improvement across the organisation. The role also oversees the development of clear, data-driven reports and recommendations that inform policy and investment decisions.

About you
We’re seeking a strategic and influential leader with demonstrated experience in program and project delivery, ideally in local government or a similarly complex public sector setting. You’ll be confident leading multidisciplinary teams, managing competing priorities, and building strong relationships across diverse stakeholder groups. Your ability to translate data into insight, drive cross-organisational change, and mentor others will be key to your success.
