Contract: month - month | Immediate Start
Hourly Pay Rate: $41 p/h + Super
Responsibilities:
- Produce high-quality signs accurately and in accordance with specifications and deadlines.
- Prepare and print a variety of materials, ensuring a high standard of quality and attention to detail.
- Coordinate the distribution and dispatch of signs and printed materials to relevant Council departments and ensure all associated documentation is accurately completed and submitted to the Accounts team.
- Provide support and undertake the responsibilities of the Publishing Manager during periods of leave or absence.
- Maintain printing and signage equipment through routine cleaning and upkeep, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.
- Assist with waste management and maintain a clean, organised, and compliant workspace.
- Contribute to Council projects and initiatives in line with the Council's Project Management Framework.
- Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability by supporting other areas of Council during emergencies, natural disasters, organisational change, or other exceptional circumstances, in accordance with skills, training, and operational requirements.
Essential:
- Direct experience operating computer-controlled sign-cutting equipment.
- Experience using SignLab software.
- Experience using CorelDRAW/Corel Desktop Publishing software.
- A background in signage production, print services, or graphic reproduction.
- Strong data entry accuracy and record-keeping skills.
- Experience preparing and dispatching printed materials.
- Good attention to detail and quality control skills.
- The ability to work independently and occasionally act in a supervisory capacity.
- 2+ years experience in an administration support role within local government or working in a politically sensitive environment
- Previous experience with TechOne, Content Manager/TRIM, Authority or Pathway highly regarded
