About the role
You will join the team as Site Engineer as construction begins on a major new build project in Canberra. Working closely with the Project team and reporting to the Project Manager on the project you will:
- Oversee and manage on-site construction activities
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
- Coordinate with stakeholders, including government officials and contractors
- Monitor project progress and prepare detailed reports
- Troubleshoot and resolve engineering issues promptly
- Assist in planning, scheduling, and budgeting processes
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction management or related field.
- Must be an Australian Citizen
- Proven experience in site or project engineering roles, preferably on large-scale government projects. 1-4 years
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and legal regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools
