Site Engineer
An established and highly respected national contractor is seeking a Site Engineer to join the team delivering a major Defence project in the Northern Territory.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on a high-profile project with a contractor renowned for successfully delivering complex construction projects across Defence, government, commercial, industrial, and remote sectors throughout Australia.
Due to the nature of this project and Defence security clearance requirements, applicants must be Australian Citizens.
The Role
You will be reporting to the Project Manager and Senior Project Team and will play a key role in the successful delivery of a significant Defence project, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
Key responsibilities:
- Coordinating subcontractors and site activities
- Managing quality assurance and project documentation
- Assisting with project programming and short-term planning
- Monitoring project progress, productivity, and costs
- Preparing RFIs, NCRs, ITPs, and project reporting
- Supporting procurement and contract administration activities
- Ensuring compliance with Defence, client, and statutory requirements
- Driving strong safety outcomes across the project
About You:
- A degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline
- Previous experience as a Site Engineer or Project Engineer within the construction industry
- Strong knowledge of construction methodologies and project delivery processes
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience working on commercial, defence, industrial, or government projects
- A proactive attitude and strong attention to detail
- The ability to work effectively within a remote project environment
