Site Engineer

We are partnering with a prominent national contractor, with operations across Victoria, New South Wales, and Queensland , to find an experienced Site Engineer for their expanding civil business in Far North Queensland (FNQ).

This exciting role, based in Townsville , offers the opportunity to contribute to large-scale Defence and roads & drainage projects, while gaining hands-on experience working with a highly respected contractor in the industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate daily site activities, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
• Manage roads and drainage packages within Defence infrastructure projects.
• Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to maintain smooth operations.
• Monitor and enforce strict safety practices on site, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
• Assist in preparing site reports, daily progress updates, and other documentation as required.
• Provide technical guidance to site teams and ensure work is completed in accordance with design and Australian Standards.
• Contribute to risk management processes and help resolve any issues that arise on-site.

• Australian Citizen (essential for Defence projects).
• A degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• At least 1 year of experience in a site engineering role, in civil infrastructure, roads, or drainage projects.
• Strong understanding of Australian Standards, safety protocols, and environmental regulations.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with teams and stakeholders.
• Organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks with a proactive approach.
• A positive attitude with a strong desire to learn and develop within the civil construction industry.
