The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen to lead the site delivery of a $30M+ Defence project
in Sydney’s North‑West. You'll manage a live Defence environment, working on new build/refurbishment works within secure zones, ensuring operational continuity and strict compliance throughout.
This is a pivotal leadership role, ideal for a Site Manager with both technical expertise and experience navigating secure construction environments.
The Role
Reporting to the Director, you’ll:
- Oversee all site operations, from staging and foundations through to finishes within a secure environment
- Manage subcontractors, consultants, equipment and logistics under tight program controls
- Enforce HSEQ compliance and champion safety culture in high-security zones
- Coordinate with Defence stakeholders and ensure minimal disruption to operations
- Maintain high standards of workmanship, quality and heritage compliance where applicable
- Provide regular progress updates, look-ahead programming, and forecasting to senior management
- Proven experience as a Site Manager or Foreman, ideally on Defence, high-security or live environment infrastructure projects
- Strong technical knowledge of secure site protocols, quality management, and contract obligations
- A confident, solution-driven communicator
- Meticulous attention to detail, and a commitment to uncompromising build standards
- Capacity to manage complex site logistics and sensitive program dependencies under pressure
- MUST be an Australian Citizen in order to obtain defence clearance
- Competitive salary package up to $210,000 + Super, based on experience
