Site Manager – Remedial Construction

A well-established, Tier 3 construction and remedial contractor is experiencing strong, consistent growth across Sydney. The business specialises in remedial works, waterproofing, façade upgrades, concrete repair, and asset-protection projects across Class 2 buildings, aged care, high-rise residential, and live operational environments. With around 40 staff and a supportive, down-to-earth culture, the company is known for work-life balance, professional integrity, and long-term client relationships.
Due to a newly awarded project in the Chatswood region, the company is seeking an experienced Site Manager to take a lead role on site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead day-to-day site operations and ensure smooth delivery across seven rooftop zones.
  • Coordinate, manage, and mentor subcontractors, trades, and site teams.
  • Ensure the site operates safely at all times, especially regarding working at heights in a live environment.
  • Interpret design drawings, implement remedial solutions, and work closely with engineers and consultants.
  • Oversee site logistics, scheduling, sequencing, and daily workflows.
  • Drive high-quality workmanship across all remedial, waterproofing, and reinstatement activities.
  • Conduct site inspections, identify risks, resolve issues, and escalate where necessary.
  • Maintain thorough site documentation: daily logs, inductions, SWMS, safety checks, and progress tracking.
  • Work closely with the Project Manager to align site progress with program, budget, and design intent.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, residents, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
About You / Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Site Manager within construction (remedial experience is required).
  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing, and technical detail.
  • Ability to interpret drawings, remedial scopes, and technical design requirements.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and direct on-site teams.
  • Strong organisation and planning capability, able to manage multiple work fronts at once.
  • High attention to detail with a quality-driven mindset.
  • Confident communicator who can liaise effectively with residents, subcontractors, and consultants.
  • Safety-focused, with valid construction certifications and ideally heights-related tickets.
  • Driver’s licence and availability to commence early January (or earlier if possible).
What’s On Offer / Salary Package
  • Salary: $120k-$140k + Super + Company Car
  • Long-term project stability
  • Family-based culture where everyone is known by name; no corporate layers.
  • Down-to-earth management team who value work-life balance.
  • Monday–Friday working week — very rare Saturdays.
  • Growth opportunities within a rapidly expanding business.
