The Opportunity
An excellent opportunity exists for an experienced Site Manager to join the delivery team on one of two significant construction projects located in Sydney's inner-city suburbs, valued at up to approximately $45M.
You'll take responsibility for day-to-day site operations, leading subcontractors, managing construction programs and ensuring the project is delivered safely, on time and to the required quality standards.
The Role
Your responsibilities will include:
- Taking overall responsibility for day-to-day site operations
- Managing subcontractors, trades and site personnel
- Driving construction programs, sequencing and key milestones
- Coordinating structure, façade, services and finishes packages
- Managing site logistics and deliveries within constrained inner-city environments
- Maintaining high standards of WHS, quality assurance and compliance
- Reviewing drawings and resolving construction and buildability challenges
- Coordinating consultants, suppliers and project stakeholders
- Managing inspections, quality documentation and defect rectification
- Working closely with the Project Manager to maintain program and project performance
- Overseeing practical completion, commissioning and handover
- Proven experience as a Site Manager with an Australian construction company
- Strong background delivering class 2 projects valued at $20M+ highly regarded
- Strong understanding of construction methodology, programming and subcontractor coordination
- Proven ability to lead site teams and manage multiple work fronts
- Excellent knowledge of WHS, quality assurance and compliance requirements
- Strong communication, leadership and problem-solving skills
- Trade background, ideally carpentry, highly regarded
- A proactive, hands-on approach with a strong focus on quality and delivery
- Up to $250,000 + Super, depending on experience
- Lead one of two construction projects valued at up to approximately $45M
