We are seeking a Site Engineer
to work on a 4 week contract for a prestigious design & construction company in Sydney. This role will be delivering a lobby fit-out for a commercial project in the CBD.
This position is looking for someone who would be able to work out of hours and weekends.
The Role
As the Site Manager, you’ll take charge of day-to-day site operations, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on time, and to the highest standard. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Lobby upgrade (mainly demo of floor tiling and reinstallation of floor tiling)
- Painting / Signage
- Minor services (lift buttons etc)
- Managing all on-site activities, including trades and subcontractors.
- Coordinating schedules to ensure project milestones are met.
- Enforcing safety standards and conducting toolbox talks and inductions.
- Monitoring quality control to ensure the highest standards are achieved.
- Reporting progress to the Project Manager and resolving site challenges as they arise.
To succeed in this role, you’ll need:
- Proven experience as a Site Manager, ideally within fitout or refurbishment projects.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, WHS regulations, and Australian standards.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
- Relevant qualifications in construction management or a trade background.
- A current White Card and first aid certification (desirable).
