This role will see you take responsibility for the accurate setting out of internal and external fit outs, organise detailed drawings for both manufacturing and onsite installation, ensuring the manufacturing and installation process is carried out efficiently in accordance with the project schedule.


The Opportunity

This is a hands-on position for someone who thrives in a fast-paced production environment. You’ll play a key role in translating architectural drawings into precise shop drawings, fabrication details, and CNC outputs – ensuring projects run smoothly from design through to installation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret architectural drawings and specifications to capture design intent
  • Produce shop drawings and documentation for approval and manufacture
  • Model joinery components and assemblies for production and installation
  • Generate auxiliary CAD drawings for stone, glass, upholstery, or metalwork
  • Prepare production lists and CNC files for material processing
  • Collaborate with project managers, production teams, and management
  • Contribute to production meetings and problem-solving
  • Ensure drawings and machining outputs meet industry standards
About You

We’re looking for a Drafter with a background in joinery or shopfitting manufacture who is confident working with CAD/CAM software. SolidWorks and AutoCAD experience are essential, with SWOOD knowledge highly regarded. You’ll be detail-focused, collaborative, and motivated by delivering high-quality, accurate outputs.

You will bring:
  • Sound knowledge for joinery construction
  • Sound knowledge of materials and hardware
  • AutoCAD & SolidWorks 3D software
  • Sound computing skills
  • Ability to work to schedules and deadlines
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills.
  • The ability to plan and prioritise projects
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Excellent Communication Skills
  • An eye for detail and accuracy
