This is not a turnaround role.
You will inherit a healthy six-person team, an established client base, a recognised national brand and a Perth business that has grown year on year since launching in 2021.
The opportunity is to build on that foundation and establish one of WA’s leading specialist recruitment businesses.
The opportunity
This is a billing State Manager position, combining leadership of the WA team with continued ownership of a specialist recruitment market.
Energy & Resources is a significant growth opportunity for the business, but we are open to shaping the desk around the experience, relationships and market knowledge of the right person.
You will lead from the front by developing clients, building your market, billing personally and helping the team perform and grow. Once the WA business reaches 12 people, your personal billing responsibilities will transition out, allowing you to focus fully on leadership, strategy and continued expansion.
You will report directly to Andrew McGregor, Managing Director, with the autonomy and support to shape the future of the WA business.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading, coaching and developing the existing WA team
- Building a high-performing specialist recruitment market
- Growing relationships with clients across WA
- Attracting experienced recruiters into the business
- Setting clear standards around activity, performance and accountability
- Identifying new markets and growth opportunities
- Protecting and strengthening the culture as the team scales
- Taking ownership of the WA strategy and P&L
Energy & Resources recruitment experience would be highly regarded, but it is not essential.
More important is a strong understanding of the WA market, a proven ability to build lasting client relationships and established credibility within a specialist recruitment sector.
We are open to leaders from Energy, Resources, Construction, Engineering, Infrastructure, Property or other related technical markets.
You may already be operating at State Manager level, or you may be a successful Team Leader or Manager who is ready to take the next step.
You will bring:
- A strong background in specialist recruitment within the WA market
- At least one to two years’ experience leading a small team
- A proven personal billing track record
- The ability to win work and build lasting client relationships
- A genuine interest in developing people and growing a business
