This is a fantastic opportunity for a proven Site Supervisor with a strong finishes background who has delivered complex government, health or similarly high-specification projects.
The Role:
Working closely with the Site Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating and supervising the day-to-day delivery of finishing works, ensuring the project is delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
You will play a key role in managing subcontractors, coordinating trades and maintaining quality through to project completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and supervise day-to-day site activities, with a particular focus on finishes and final delivery.
- Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications and project documentation.
- Coordinate subcontractors and trades to ensure works are delivered in accordance with the program.
- Monitor subcontractor performance, productivity, resourcing and quality.
- Drive the short-term lookahead program and coordinate upcoming site activities.
- Maintain high standards of safety, quality and workmanship across the project.
- Identify and resolve construction issues proactively to maintain project progress.
- Manage finishing works through to defect-free completion and handover.
- Ensure quality documentation and project deliverables are completed progressively and ahead of practical completion.
- Work closely with the Site Manager, Project Manager, subcontractors and consultants to ensure a coordinated delivery.
- Proven experience supervising complex building projects, particularly at the finishing stage.
- Strong finishes experience, with a detailed eye for quality and workmanship.
- Previous experience delivering government, health, institutional or similarly complex projects.
- Experience working on large-scale projects, ideally in the $100M+ range.
- A trade background and/or relevant construction qualification.
- Strong subcontractor management and coordination skills.
- A proactive approach to safety, quality and project delivery.
- The ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications and project documentation.
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to lead trades and subcontractors on site.
- A proven ability to work to program and drive projects through to completion.
