An established and highly regarded commercial builder is looking for an experienced Supervisor to join the growing team in Canberra working on a major development.

The Role
You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations on site and work closely with the Site Manager and other Site Supervisors ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to a high standard of quality.
You will work closely with the Project Manager, subcontractors and consultants to coordinate all site activities and keep projects running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise all on-site construction activities
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and trades
- Drive site safety and ensure compliance with WHS requirements
- Manage programme and sequencing to ensure milestones are achieved
- Conduct site meetings and provide regular progress updates
- Monitor quality and ensure works are delivered to specification
- Resolve site issues and identify practical solutions quickly
- Liaise with clients, consultants and internal stakeholders
- Manage site logistics, deliveries and resources
- Ensure all site documentation, reporting and records are maintained
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience as a supervisor or Site Manager within commercial construction on new build structures.
- Strong knowledge of construction methodology, sequencing and site coordination
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- A proactive and hands-on approach
- Strong understanding of WHS legislation and site safety requirements
- Ability to manage subcontractors and maintain strong relationships on site
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Relevant trade or construction qualifications
