Public Sector People are working with a council in Sydney who are seeking a System and Management Accountant
to join them on an initial 3-month contract.
The role is due to start at the end of September
and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to go forward for the role on a permanent basis.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Assist the Strategic Management Accountant, to co-ordinate and
prepare Long Term Financial Plan and other reporting requirements in
accordance with the IP&R framework. - Assisting in the preparation of the Annual and Quarterly budget reviews and financial analysis.
- Maintenance, monitoring, and enhancement of all financial systems
functionality. - Undertaking continuous improvement of the FMIS by investigating
system features, reviewing and re-engineering processes.
Essential criteria:
- Tertiary qualifications at Degree level in accounting or the equivalent
experience with the prerequisite to reach CPA/CA Status - Local government experience is highly desirable.
- TechnologyOne system administration experience
- Experience preparing annual budgets.
