Tenancy Manager

Our client is a well-established community housing provider delivering safe, affordable and sustainable homes across New South Wales. Their work goes beyond housing - partnering with tenants, community groups, and support services to strengthen wellbeing and build thriving communities.

They are seeking a values-driven Tenancy Manager to join their customer-focused team and play a key role in delivering exceptional tenancy management and community outcomes.

The Opportunity

In this hands-on role, you’ll be the first point of contact for tenants, ensuring their needs are met with care, professionalism and responsiveness. You’ll manage a diverse tenancy portfolio, supporting residents to sustain their housing through proactive engagement and practical problem-solving.

You’ll also work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to address tenancy issues, manage arrears and property care, and contribute to broader community wellbeing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide responsive, respectful and consistent customer service
  • Manage tenancy agreements in line with the NSW Residential Tenancies Act 2010
  • Support tenants to sustain their tenancies through early intervention and engagement
  • Manage arrears, property standards, and anti-social behaviour
  • Prepare documentation and represent the organisation at NCAT where required
  • Collaborate with colleagues and support partners to achieve positive tenant outcomes
  • Maintain accurate records and comply with organisational policies and reporting standards
About You

You’re an organised and empathetic professional who thrives in a busy, people-focused environment. You bring a mix of practical tenancy management skills and a genuine commitment to community impact.

Essential:
  • Experience in property management (community housing, public housing, or real estate)
  • Sound understanding of the NSW Residential Tenancies Act 2010
  • Strong communication, negotiation and conflict-resolution skills
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Current NSW Driver’s Licence
Desirable:
  • Understanding of social and affordable housing frameworks
  • Experience engaging with vulnerable communities
  • Prior NCAT representation experience
  • Qualifications in social work, community services or a related discipline
What’s on Offer
  • Salary: $91,870.16 + Super + Salary Packaging (SCHADS Level 4)
  • Hybrid working model (4 days onsite / 1 day WFH)
  • Supportive, values-led culture focused on inclusion and empowerment
  • Opportunity to make a tangible difference in people’s lives and communities
If you’re a housing professional who combines a business head with a social heart, this role offers a meaningful opportunity to make a lasting impact.
