Position: Traffic Engineer
Contract length: Up to 12 months contract
Pay rate:$60 - $65 p/h + Super
Responsibilities:
- Investigate traffic-related concerns raised by residents or stakeholders, conduct traffic studies (e.g., speed, volume, accident analysis), and design safety improvements such as signage, line marking, speed calming devices, and intersection upgrades.
- Review and provide expert traffic engineering advice on Development Applications, including assessing traffic and parking impacts, access design, and recommending conditions of consent where necessary.
- Investigate traffic requests by the community, conduct site inspections and traffic studies, and develop solutions to enhance road safety and network performance.
Essential:
- Tertiary qualifications in Civil/Traffic Engineering, and eligible to become a Corporate Member of the Institution of Engineers, Australia
- Minimum 12 months experience in a Traffic Engineering position for local government
