In this local council role you will process road permits, assess traffic management plans, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure smooth traffic flow and compliance with legislation within the region!
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and approve road permits, traffic management plans, and road closures.
- Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with traffic management approvals.
- Provide expert advice on traffic management to internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate traffic data collection and manage the Portable Speed Advisory Sign Program.
- Support event traffic management and road safety initiatives
Successful candidate
- Experience in traffic management, including assessing traffic guidance schemes.
- Strong knowledge of traffic legislation, Australian Standards, and traffic control practices.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and teamwork.
Requirements
- “C” Class driver’s license.
- General Safety Induction Card (White Card)
