Public Sector People are working with a Sydney council who are looking for a Work Health and Safety Project Manager to join them on a 12-18 month basis.
We’re looking for a WHS Advisor who is experienced in implementation,
to lead the implementation of the WHS Management System and online safety platform. You’ll support staff and managers with expert advice, training, and guidance to foster a proactive safety culture across Council.
Key responsibilities include:
- Undertaking a gap audit, developing training material and the promotion and facilitation of effective WHS procedures, policies and processes.
- Supporting external WHS audits and guide the development of divisional WHS goals.
- Delivering, implementing, monitoring and evaluating organisation development projects, in particular in relation to work, health and safety.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in WHS and minimum 3-5 years experience in WHS
- Experience in the implementation, review and analysis of WHS management systems and programs.
- Strong project management experience and communication skills.
- Local government experience desirable
